Independence 4th of July Celebration – July 3 & 4
Each year Independence hosts an all-out Fourth of July celebration complete with the oldest Independence Day parade in Iowa, a reading of our Declaration of Independence, non-stop live music at the pavillion in Riverwalk Parks, an all day volleyball tournament, a large food court, children’s games, a stupendous and accessible fireworks display over the Wapsipinicon, and more.
